About Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum

The Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum convenes the world’s top energy and foreign policy decision makers annually to set the global energy agenda for the year ahead and examine the longer-term geopolitical and geo-economic implications of the changing energy system. The Forum is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE and ruler of Abu Dhabi in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, ADNOC, and Mubadala.

Over the past six years, the Forum has become the go-to conference on the geopolitics of the energy transition, where industry and foreign policy leaders set the energy agenda for the year ahead and examine the geopolitical and geo-economic implications of the changing energy system. From the continuing impact of the crisis in Ukraine, to efforts to avert a global financial crisis, there has never been a more important moment for open and frank dialogue around the best paths to a net zero future.

Building on the momentum of the 2022 Forum, the 2023 Forum will return to the hybrid format. It will feature the benefits of in-person networking, panels, workshops, and receptions in Abu Dhabi, as well as the global reach of virtual programming.
